Pocklington Community Volunteer Awards 2025
Pocklington Rugby in the Community (PRITC), in collaboration with Pocklington Town Council and East Riding Council Active Communities are seeking nominations for the 2025 Community Volunteer Awards.
This year’s awards will take place at Pocklington Community Hall on Friday 17th October, 7pm – 9pm. They will again be generously sponsored by Hamers Solicitors.
PRITC is requesting nominations from members of charities, community groups, local residents, council staff, businesses, groups, fellow volunteers, family members, clubs - basically from anyone who knows how hard a volunteer/team has worked nominate them.
PRITC chair, Andy Bowden said, “Volunteers in our community do the most amazing things! We want to recognise these inspiring individuals and groups and celebrate their fantastic work and achievements.
“We need your help to find out who these outstanding volunteers are and nominate them for one of our awards. It’s a simple process: choose the award, fill in the nomination form and get it back to us. The awards are for anyone who has volunteered in the Pocklington area over the past 12 months. Please send us photos of the volunteer too.”
This year’s award categories are: Young Volunteer (Under 25), Community Volunteer, Sports and Active Volunteer, Volunteer Team, Behind the Scenes Volunteer and Environmental Volunteer. A new award has been introduced this year for a ‘Long Serving Volunteer’ – there are many people in our community who have given years of dedicated service to the community.
